POSITION SUMMARY
DEPLOY/US is seeking a full-time Vice President of Programs or Director of Programs (dependent on experience) who can grow, orchestrate, and manage a growing array of programs that support the success and impact of our partner grantees and the entire field of nonprofit organizations working right-of-center for US climate leadership.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and scaling programs that advance bipartisan U.S. decarbonization policies: including grantmaking programs focused on right-of-center and allied civil society; facilitating collaborations among field partners; coordinating policymaker-education campaigns and (within limits) legislative strategies, particularly in states; programs to accelerate partners’ media exposure; and other internal infrastructure that serves field-wide impact, such as programs that cultivate talent pipelines in the Ecoright field.
Reporting to the Executive Vice President, the successful Vice President of Programs or Director of Programs:

Is inspired by DEPLOY/US' unique role as a field-building organization, supporting partners and grantees within the Ecoright field to advance bipartisan decarbonization policy action, working closely with our bipartisan team and board.
Is passionate about facilitating the success of right-of-center civil society organizations and leaders engaged in advancing durable, bipartisan climate solutions.
The scope of responsibility and leadership will depend on the candidate’s experience, with the Director focused on implementation, tactical management, and strategy support, and the Vice President with strategic oversight of DEPLOY/US’s programmatic portfolio, as outlined in the responsibilities section below.
RESPONSIBILITIES
For Both Director- and Vice President-Level Candidates
Support and expand DEPLOY/US’ programs and services that support partner success, including our rapidly growing grantmaking operation, field coordination, and media and other field-wide infrastructure.
Manage strategy development and execution in key states and assist DEPLOY/US staff, contractors, and partner grantees in the field.
Manage DEPLOY/US’ fellowship and talent pipeline programs to meet the needs of the Ecoright field and cultivate future leadership.
Align programmatic goals with organizational strategy, leveraging internal resources effectively.
Build and maintain strong relationships with partner grantees, providing guidance, resources, and infrastructure that enhance their impact.
Serve as a key liaison between DEPLOY/US, its partners, and the broader field to ensure cohesive and effective programmatic support.
Work closely with the VP of Impact and Learning on field-wide impact assessment and to identify field needs and new DEPLOY/US program opportunities.
Ensure that program operations are aligned with the field-building mission of DEPLOY/US and continuously drive improvements.
Additional Responsibilities for Vice President-Level Candidates
Organizational Leadership: Help to shape the organization’s long-term strategy and growth.
Programs Strategy: Lead the development and implementation of DEPLOY/US’ programmatic strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
Cross-Team Leadership: Oversee and support the growth of cross-functional teams to improve grantmaking, field-building, and internal capacity.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required for Both Director- and Vice President-Level Candidates
Experience managing or leading field programs that support civil society organizations.
Experience in conservative advocacy, civil society, and coalitional leadership.
Demonstrated success with nonprofit or advocacy management.
Ability to build trust and communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of stakeholders across the political spectrum, including funders, grantees, thought leaders, and policymakers.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaboration, relationship-building, and servant leadership.
Commitment to bipartisanship and decarbonization, with a belief in the importance of engaging perspectives across the aisle to achieve durable climate solutions.
Strong personal integrity, work ethic, and continuous learning orientation.
Ability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced and innovative work environment.
Ability to work independently as part of a remote, mission-driven team.
Willingness to travel as required (~20%).
Preferred for Both Director- and Vice President-Level Candidates
Experience with energy, climate, or environmental policy issues, especially in right-of-center advocacy.
Experience managing grantmaking programs or overseeing funding strategies.
Additional Requirements for Vice President-Level Candidates
Successful track record serving as a senior organizational leader, with oversight of a team, function, or program portfolio.
Strategic vision and experience aligning organizational resources to achieve ambitious goals.
Demonstrated success in building new systems, partnerships, and teams to achieve large-scale impact.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States at the date of hire.
DEPLOY/US is unable to sponsor work visas for candidates. All candidates for employment with DEPLOY/US will be subject to a background check before hire.
COMPENSATION
This is a full-time salaried position. DEPLOY/US offers a competitive total compensation and benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401K match, generous PTO allowance and more. The compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience (at both the Vice President and Director levels).

LOCATION
Washington, DC is preferred but not required. DEPLOY/US has a distributed team that works remotely. This position will require a routine presence in DC as well as significant travel (~20%) to other US-based meetings.
